Oliver Baez Bendorf’s second collection of poems, Advantages of Being Evergreen, is forthcoming in September 2019 from Cleveland State University Poetry Center. A chapbook, The Gospel According to X, will be published this summer in the Rane Arroyo Series from Seven Kitchens Press. His work has also appeared in American Poetry Review, Poetry, and Troubling the Line: Trans and Genderqueer Poetry and Poetics. Born and raised in the Midwest, his people are from Southern Italy, Puerto Rico, and Germany. He is currently an assistant professor of poetry at Kalamazoo College in Michigan.
