CENTRE POMPADOUR

Blue Mountain Center
Blue Mountain Center offers month-long residency sessions open to creative and nonfiction writers, activists, and artists of all disciplines, including composers, filmmakers, and visual artists.
Location: Blue Mountain Lake, NY
Residency period: Session 1: June 14–July 12
Session 2: July 20–August 17

Philip Roth Residence in Creative Writing
The Philip Roth Residence in Creative Writing offers up to four months of unfettered writing time for those working on a first or second book of fiction or creative nonfiction. The residency provides lodging in Bucknell’s “Poets’ Cottage” and a $5,000 stipend.

Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity Writing Studio
Writing Studio provides writers and poets with an extended period of uninterrupted writing time and one-on-one editorial assistance from experienced writers/editors
Location: Banff, Alberta
Residency period: April 29–June 1, 2019

Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity Artist in Residence
The Banff Artist in Residence program offers a space for visual artists to focus on their own practice in a supportive learning environment.
Location: Banff, Alberta
Residency period: June 3–July 5, 2019
Application deadline: February 6, 2019

Casa Tagumerche
The Casa Tagumerche residency offers a contemplative environment, free of distractions, in which to begin, continue, and/or complete an artistic, personal, or scholarly project.
Location: Canary Islands, Spain
Residency period: March 1–May 31, 2019
Application deadline: February 15, 2019

The Anderson Center Residency
The Anderson Center provides retreats that enable artists, writers, and scholars to create, advance, or complete projects.
Location: Red Wing, Minnesota
Residency period: two or four weeks
Application deadline: February 15, 2019

Vermont Studio Center Fellowships
Each month, Vermont Studio Center hosts over fifty artists and writers from across the country. Twenty-seven different fellowships are currently open for application.
Location: Johnson, VT
Residency period: one month
Application deadline: February 15, 2019

Anderson Ranch Artists-in-Residence
Anderson Ranch provides facilities and studio time for residents to pursue interdisciplinary projects among a community of working artists, and gain feedback from prominent visiting artists and critics.
Location: Snowmass Village, CO
Residency period: Term I – Fall: October–December (ten weeks)
Term II – Spring: March–April (five weeks)
Application deadline: February 15, 2019

Shandaken: Storm King Residency Program
Shandaken: Storm King provides free housing and studio facilities with the particular aim of supporting process and experimentation. Residencies last for two to six weeks. 
Location: New Windsor, NY

Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute Artists-in-Residence Program
The Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute Artists-in-Residence program is an education-based residency which allows two emerging artists from different disciplines to live and work in Utica, NY for one academic year.

Residency period: August 19, 2019–May 19, 2020

Centre Pompadour
Centre Pompadour offers accommodation and private work space for a determined period of time to pursue projects that place gender equality and feminist empowerment at the heart of the creative process.

Residency period: two weeks–two months

The Millay Colony
The Millay Colony welcomes six to seven visual artists, writers, and composers each month, with a number of flexible residency formats available.

Brush Creek Artists Residency
Brush Creek Foundation for the Arts offers time and space for artistic exploration to visual artists, writers, musicians, and composers from all backgrounds, level of expertise, media and genres.
Location: Saratoga, WY
Residency period: three weeks, June–November

The Kerouac Project of Orlando
The Kerouac Project provides four residencies per year to writers of any stripe, age, or experience level, from anywhere in the world.
Location: Orlando, FL
Residency period: Fall 2019: September 1–November 21, 2019; Winter 2019–2020: December 1, 2019–February 20, 2020

Djerassi Resident Artists Program
The Djerassi Resident Artists Program is a retreat for emerging and mid-career artists to pursue personal, creative work and share collegial interaction within a small community of artists.
Location: Santa Cruz, CA
Residency period: four or five weeks

The Core Program at Museum of Fine Arts, Houston
The Core Program awards residencies to exceptional, highly motivated visual artists and critical writers who have completed their undergraduate or graduate training and are working to develop a sustainable practice.
Location: Houston, TX
Residency period: September–May 2019

The MacDowell Colony
The MacDowell Colony provides time, space, and an inspiring environment to artists of exceptional talent.
Location: Peterborough, NH
Residency period: October 1, 2019–January 31, 2020

Ox-Bow School of Art and Artists’ Residency
Ox-Bow’s residency program offers artists and writers, at various stages in their career, the time, space, and community to encourage growth and experimentation in their practice.
