Anthony Carelli was raised in Poynette, Wisconsin, a no-stoplight village that smells periodically of sauerkraut. His first book, Carnations was a finalist for the 2011 Levis Reading Prize. His second book, The New World: Infinitesimal Epics, was published by Princeton University Press in September of 2021. Recipient of a Hodder fellowship and a Whiting Writers’ Award, he currently lives in Brooklyn and teaches at New York University.
