Paper Clip #63

by Jacob Severn

Paper Clip is a weekly compilation of online articles, artifacts and other—old, new, and sometimes BOMB-related.

1. Cluster Mag editor Max Pearl wrote about rave surveillance, MDMA, cabaret law, and the war on dancing.

Still from Traité de bave et d'éternité, or Venom and Eternity

2. The Internet Archive posted Isidore Isou's experimental film Venom and Eternity in its entirety. Called "the Letterist manifesto of film," Isou's film caused an uproar at Cannes in 1951, and was a big influence on Stan Brakhage.

3. The label Black Cake, which puts out audio chapbooks, recently released recordings by Amy Lawless and Zachary Schomburg. Really good.

New Sincerity anti-mimesis morning routine (Life Imitating Art), 2014. From Jogging

4. Art tumblr Jogging launched their "$15/hr Unpaid Summer Internship Program," in which they will pay you fifteen dollars for every hour you "work" for free for somebody else.

5. The beloved internet radio station East Village Radio signed off, but the underground station Bel-Air, out of Bushwick, is still going. Their archive is here. Too much.
